Wheaton’s Gary UMC celebrates Christmas with music and candlelight

People of all ages will participate in sharing the story of the birth of Jesus at the early Christmas Eve family worship at Gary United Methodist Church, 224 N. Main St. in Wheaton.

Elementary and middle school students will ring chimes, children and youth will sing, and all churchgoers will light candles at the 4 p.m. service.

The church offers three candlelight Christmas Eve services on Tuesday, Dec. 24: 4 p.m. (family worship), 7 p.m. (traditional) and 9 p.m. (traditional with Communion).

The church has music, kids, youth and adult ministries, plus opportunities for local, national and global missions. It offers worship at 9 and 11:11 a.m. In-between services, there’s Sunday school for all ages, a coffee fellowship hour, plus the chapel is available for prayer and reflection. For more information, go to garychurch.org or contact the church office at office@garychurch.org.
