Santa makes a special stop at Central DuPage’s neonatal unit

Santa Claus paid a special visit to the neonatal intensive care unit at Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield on Monday, Dec. 16.

He delivered toys, books and holiday cheer to more than a dozen babies and families, including two sets of twins.

As a level III NICU, the unit is staffed by a multidisciplinary team with advanced expertise in the intensive care of newborn infants born premature or critically ill. This includes physicians and advanced practice nurses from Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago.
