Woodridge police offering citizens academy

The Woodridge Police Department is accepting applications for the 2025 Citizens Police Academy.

The 10-week program will meet from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesdays, starting Feb. 12 and running through April 16. There are 20 spots. Topics include Illinois vehicle code, DUI laws, criminal law, investigations and evidence collection, SWAT operations, virtual reality training demonstrations, and more.

Applications are due Jan. 15. Apply online or at the department’s lobby, 7215 Janes Ave.
