Mount Prospect Community Band to host Christmas concert Dec. 7

Mount Prospect Community Band is putting on its annual holiday concert at 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 605 W Golf Road in Mount Prospect.

This year’s concert is titled “A Magical Christmas.”

It will include some old favorites as well as some new selections for all to enjoy. This concert directed by Monty Adams will feature the band’s resident vocalist, Amy Keipert. Santa Claus will be there and help with the concert.

A goodwill offering will be taken to benefit Journeys The Road Home. It provides shelter, counseling, and housing resources to end homelessness.

The Mount Prospect Community Band will celebrate with music for the entire community, including favorite Christmas carols and songs.

Trinity UMC is sponsoring this free concert and the church’s United Women in Faith will be hosting its annual Cookie Walk and Craft Fair/Art Sale from 3 to 6 p.m.
