Pet photo sessions with Santa at Hawthorn mall

Pet owners can bring their four-legged friends to Hawthorn shopping center, 122 Hawthorn Center, Vernon Hills, for a special photo session with Santa Claus from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 2, 9 or 16.

Well-mannered, leashed or kenneled pets can visit with Santa in his “A Christmas Story” home while professional photographers capture the memories. All pets must enter at the southwest entrance near Maggiano’s and go to the Santa set on the lower level in Macy’s Court. All pets must be leashed or caged.

“A Christmas Story” encounter will be open to those without pets during these times as well. Professional photo packages start at $39.99. Reservations are strongly encouraged at https://bit.ly/46NvD5y but walk-ups will be accommodated on a space-available basis.

Those reserving in advance will receive a free personalized phone call from Santa before their visit. Pets will receive a complimentary pet bandanna and treats while supplies last.
