Enjoy Victorian style holiday event at Glen Ellyn History Center Dec. 7

The Glen Ellyn Historical Society is hosting its annual Victorian holiday celebration from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, at the Glen Ellyn History Center and Stacy’s Tavern Museum, 800 N. Main St.

Participants can craft Victorian-themed ornaments and enjoy holiday snacks and hot chocolate at the history center.

The Twig and Bloom Garden Club has decorated Stacy’s Tavern Museum for the holidays. Guests can tour the tavern by candlelight. For details, call (630) 469-1867 and visit www.gehs.org.

On Saturday, Dec. 14, join a reception for the “Artist of the Month” Judy Strom from 1 to 3:30 p.m. in the history center. Meet the artist and see her artwork on display in the Stacy's Corners Store. Admission is free; donations are welcome.

Free parking is available at the history center, behind Stacy's Tavern Museum, and on surrounding lots and streets.
