VNA Health Care names award after former CEO Janet Craft

On Oct. 24, VNA Health Care Past President/CEO Janet Craft was recognized by the VNA with a reception at its Aurora headquarters, honoring her milestone birthday and contributions to the VNA and the community.

From 1984 to 1999, Craft led an expansion of access to quality health care in the region that had a major impact on the community.

To Craft’s surprise, a new award was created in her honor, the Janet S. Craft Award of Quality.

It will be awarded annually to VNA staff members who exemplify a steadfast commitment to furthering the quality of care, care experience, and health outcomes of VNA patients and clients.

Scores of friends and associates honored Craft at the event, including Congressman Bill Foster and other dignitaries.

Members of St. Charles Episcopal Church also were on hand at the ceremony to celebrate with their fellow congregant.
