Immanuel Lutheran to host annual Veterans Dinner Nov. 10
As a thank you to those who have selflessly served in the nation’s armed forces, Immanuel Lutheran in East Dundee will be hosting a free dinner for veterans and their families on Sunday, Nov. 10. This will be their seventh event of this kind.
“Once again, we are looking forward to honoring our veterans by hosting a dinner for them,” said Scott Lyon, co-organizer of the event. “We are so grateful for their service to our country so that we can continue to enjoy freedom and the opportunity for prosperity.”
It will be an open house event from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at the church, 310 E. Main St. in East Dundee. As per their tradition, the food will be catered by Aliano’s Ristorante, a local restaurant in East Dundee.
Veterans who attend can expect a delicious dinner, a slideshow of military memories, and a display of military memorabilia from local veterans.
“Each year we are humbled by the number of veterans who choose to attend our event,” said the Rev. William Yonker, Senior Pastor at Immanuel. “We delight to hear the stories of their experiences and again are looking forward to the opportunity to engage with this genuinely selfless group of people.”
Any person interested in attending can contact Alison Lyon at (630) 709-6546 on or before Friday, Nov. 8. RSVPs can also be made by visiting ImmanuelVeteransDinner2024.eventbrite.com
