Tickets on sale Thursday for Heather Headley, CSO concert

Grammy and Tony Award-winning singer/actor Heather Headley performs selections from her Broadway career spanning more than 25 years during a June 3 performance with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra conducted by Steven Reineke.

The Wheaton resident headlines the concert, which benefits CSO’s artistic, educational and community engagement efforts.

Headley originated the role of Nala in Elton John and Tim Rice’s “The Lion King.” She played the titular role in John and Rice’s follow-up, “Aida,” which earned her a Tony Award. In 2009, she received a best contemporary R&B gospel album Grammy Award for “Audience of One.”

Tickets go on sale Thursday, Oct. 10. They start at $59. The $295 per person VIP package includes preshow refreshments and prime concert seating.

Tickets are available at cso.org, (312) 294-3000 or at the box office, 220 S. Michigan Ave., Chicago.
