Zynga signs 14,000-square-foot office lease at Cumberland Centre in Chicago

Game-maker Zynga Inc., a global leader in interactive entertainment, has signed a long-term lease for about 14,000 square feet of office space at Cumberland Centre at 5440 N. Cumberland in Chicago.

The relocation marks an expansion for Zynga from its previous 12,448-square-foot space in a nearby single-story office complex, according to NAI Hiffman, an independent commercial real estate firm based in Oakbrook Terrace.

Cumberland Centre, a three-story office building owned by Integris Ventures in the heart of the O’Hare submarket, recently has undergone significant renovations to its lobby area featuring modernized lighting, comfortable seating and pop culture decor. Additional building amenities under construction include common-area hallway upgrades, a building cafe and an animated tenant lounge. These enhancements are slated for completion in 2025.

“In an office environment where we’ve seen a lot of owners pulling back, Integris has continually demonstrated their commitment to Cumberland Centre,” said NAI Hiffman Executive Vice President Jason Wurtz, who represented Integris Ventures in the transaction. “Strong, committed ownership is a huge qualifier for tenants looking to make a long-term decision.”

Zynga, known for its popular social games like FarmVille and Words With Friends, was represented in the lease transaction by Jim Rose of JLL.
