Active Senior Expo set for Sept. 18 in Warrenville

Active Senior Expo will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18, at Courtyard Banquets, 3S200 Route 59, a half-mile north of Butterfield Road in Warrenville.

It features hundreds of products and services designed specifically for seniors. Offerings include health care, retirement communities, assisted living, financial, insurance, legal, estate planning, home care, consumer products, government programs and more.

Special attractions include free seminars on energy efficiency and Medicare, free health screenings, and door prize drawings. BlueCross BlueShield of Illinois will host a farmers market featuring fresh produce. Live entertainment will take place at noon.

No registration is required. Regular admission to the event is $2. However, free admission coupons are widely available and attendees can obtain a free admission coupon by visiting www.activeseniorexpo.net. Parking is free.
