Five new businesses have landed at O’Hare International Airport’s Terminal 5. The city this month opened: Publican Quality Bread; Metropolis Coffee Company; electronic products retailer InMotion; and Six Points Market and BLVD & Branch, which sell Chicago-themed specialty items.
CUB report: Customers choosing ComEd alternatives losing millions
Illinois residents and businesses who have chosen electricity suppliers other than ComEd and Ameren Illinois have lost about $297 million over the last year and $1.8 billion since 2015, the Citizens Utility Board reported Tuesday. The report, which cites state data on electricity competition, warns that consumers should be aware of alternative suppliers offering their services door to door, via mail and over the phone.
‘It’s a piece of Elmhurst’s history’: York Theatre celebrates 100 years of movie magic
A fixture of downtown Elmhurst is celebrating 100 years of movies and memories. The York Theatre, 150 N. York St., opened its doors on Labor Day weekend in 1924 and has since welcomed generations of moviegoers. In addition to the York Theatre, Classic Cinemas owns six theaters built in the 1920s and 1930s during the heyday of movie palaces. The chain owns 16 theaters with 141 screens across Illinois and Wisconsin.
Huntley eager to start up business incubators downtown in historic house
Huntley is moving forward with downtown incubator shops, following other municipalities in McHenry County including Woodstock and McHenry. The village plans to put the shops up in the Hackett House, located at the intersection of Route 47 and Main Street and bought by the village in 2013.

Apple Villa Famous Pancake House in Hoffman Estates closes after two decades
Apple Villa Famous Pancake House & Restaurant, which has been part of Hoffman Estates for nearly all of the 21st century and counted U.S. Sen. Tammy Duckworth among its local fans, has closed. The popular eatery was named Business of the Year by the Hoffman Estates Chamber of Commerce & Industry in January 2015.
