Streamwood firefighters battle late night house fire

No injuries were reported in a late night house fire in Streamwood that officials estimate caused $80,000 in damage.

Firefighters were called to the two-story, single-family house on the 100 block of Grey Fox Court just before 10:15 p.m.

Heavy fire was reported showing from the rear of the home where the fire is believed to have originated.

Fire officials said the cause of the fire remains under investigation, but described the damage as significant.
