West Chicago Fit4Fall 5K to showcase fall foliage along the Prairie Path

Fall is on its way, and so is West Chicago’s inaugural Fit4Fall 5K Run/Walk & 1 Mile Youth Run on Saturday, Sept. 21.

Experience the Illinois Prairie Path in all its fall splendor. The 5K race kicks off at 7:30 a.m., followed by the 1 Mile Youth Run at 8:30 a.m., both starting from the picturesque Reed-Keppler Park.

Participants can register online at Race Roster with the first 100 registrants receiving a special swag bag for the event.

Entrants in the 5K will get a custom Fit4Fall 5K medal, a commemorative shirt, and be automatically entered into the race day raffle.

Raffle prizes include a complimentary Green Tee at St. Andrews Golf Club and tickets for the Spooky Trail at the West Chicago Park District.

For the 5K, entry fees are $15 for participants under age 17 and $35 for adults, age 18 or older. The 1 Mile Youth Run is $5 for participants, age 10 or under. Families with four or more participants can enjoy a $5 discount at checkout.

Register by Thursday, Sept. 5, to guarantee your shirt size, and also enjoy a complimentary waffle with unlimited toppings from All Belgium Waffle at the post-race event, thanks to our food truck sponsor, Jacobs Engineering Group.

This event is more than just a race; it’s a celebration of the season along the Illinois Prairie Path. With leaves turning shades of gold and red, you’ll find yourself running or walking through some of DuPage County’s finest fall foliage.

Whether you’re a seasoned runner or looking for a leisurely stroll, the Fit4Fall 5K has something for everyone.
