Officials: Road rage incident leads to shots fired in Park Ridge
A fiery road rage exchange Monday resulted in shots fired near Park Ridge, officials said according to a Park Ridge Police Department news release.
Officers responded about 5 p.m. to a report of shots fired at the intersection of Touhy Avenue and Busse Highway, according to a news release from the Park Ridge Police Department. The exchange involved three vehicles: a gray Hyundai, a dark-colored Honda and a black Jaguar.
The Jaguar driver fired multiple times at the gray Hyundai before fleeing east, officials said. The Honda and Hyundai remained at the scene, the release stated.
No one was hit by any gunshots.
Upon investigation, officers found multiple shell casings on the street; police closed Touhy Avenue between Cumberland and Northwest Highway to investigate.
The incident remains under investigation.
