Wheaton employee receives regional Caregiver of the Year award

Margherita Srihari, CNA, a caregiver at BrightStar Care of Central DuPage-Wheaton, was awarded the Regional Midwest Caregiver of the Year from her employer, BrightStar Care.

The daughter of one of Margherita’s clients nominated her for this award, recognizing her exceptional dedication, organization, and commitment to going above and beyond in her care.

Beloved by her clients for going above and beyond, Margherita continues to leave a positive impact on the lives of her clients and is dedicated to continuing to provide a higher standard of care.

Margherita cares not only for the client but also the client’s special needs adult daughter. Margherita is very patient with the client and the client’s daughter and provides care through activities like physical and music therapy. Margherita anticipates her client’s needs and provides a positive energy in the house for the whole family.

Margherita has also given her client’s family a sense of comfort knowing the client is receiving quality care and she treats the client and the client’s daughter as individuals.

Margherita was honored as a regional winner during a surprise ceremony at the BrightStar Care of Central DuPage-Wheaton office on July 26.

In Fall 2024, BrightStar Care will announce its national Nurse and Caregiver of the Year award winners at its annual conference.
