Fox Valley Women’s Bible Study fall session begins Sept. 5
Women of all ages are invited to study “Angels in the Bible” and “Scripture and the Rosary” with the Fox Valley Catholic Bible Study for Women this fall. They will be meeting in person from Sept. 5 to Nov. 21 at St. John Neumann Parish, 2900 E. Main St., St. Charles. There is also a Zoom only option.
They will gather at 9 a.m. A large group reflection will begin at 9:15 a.m. This will be followed by discussion of the weekly lesson in small groups. The $30 fee includes the study materials.
Structured child care is offered for children ages 2 or older for a one-time fee of $10. Children under age 2 will stay with their mothers in a special group. Scholarships are available.
In “Angels in the Bible,” George Smiga examines some of the Bible’s most fascinating passages about angels, exploring their ministry on God’s behalf and drawing insights for our own spiritual lives. Because angels are mediators of God’s presence and action, studying angels is studying God.
Through an illuminating analysis of all the relevant biblical texts, “Scripture and the Rosary” provides a trustworthy guide for deepening our understanding and appreciation of key events in the lives of Jesus and Mary, reflected in each set of mysteries: Joyful, Luminous, Sorrowful, and Glorious.
