West Chicago lifts boil order for homes near Gary Elementary
West Chicago has lifted a boil order for homes along Forest Avenue, from Joliet to Bishop streets, city officials announced Wednesday.
The precautionary boil order was imposed after a water main break happened Monday near Gary Elementary School.
Contractors were working on repairs. In addition, laboratory sampling was done to ensure the water meets drinking water regulations.
Anyone with questions about the boil order can contact the city public works department at (630) 293-2255.
