AAUW Wheaton-Glen Ellyn Used Book Sale kicks off June 20
The Wheaton-Glen Ellyn AAUW Branch, NFP is busy gathering books for its 2024 Used Book Sale. The sale will feature fiction, including science fiction, mystery, romance, and classics; nonfiction, including history, politics, biographies and autobiographies; young adult books and children’s books.
More than 11,000 books will provide a great opportunity to refresh your TBR (To Be Read) piles.
This year’s sale will be June 20-22 at Westfield Elementary School, 2S125 Mayfield Lane, Glen Ellyn. It is located in the Butterfield West subdivision located east of Route 53 and north of Butterfield Road.
Sale hours will be 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. On Saturday, books will be $10 a bag.
Since 1881, AAUW has been a leading force for equity and education for women and girls with approximately a thousand branches nationwide. AAUW provides 5 million dollars annually in fellowships and grants to women. Their salary negotiation workshops have trained 188,675 people to negotiate salaries and benefits. The Wheaton-Glen Ellyn Branch, founded in 1956, is the second largest branch in Illinois with more than 100 members.
