Boogie down as Naper Nights kicks off summer concert series June 14-15
Editor’s note: Naper Nights has updated their lineup for Saturday, June 15. The opening band will now be Jagged Little Pill performing Alanis Morissette tunes.
Naper Settlement kicks off the annual Naper Nights Community Concert Series on June 14-15 from 5-10 p.m.
On Friday, the Boogie Wonder Band will transport the crowd straight to the 1970s with a high-energy disco night performance.
After performing over 3,000 shows around the world, the Boogie Wonder Band will take the Naper Nights stage with eye-popping Las Vegas-inspired costumes and flashy personas from 8-10 p.m.
Featured on E!’s “Clash of the Cover Bands,” Fix You — The International Coldplay Tribute will play under a sky full of stars on Saturday from 8 to 10 p.m. Performing for the past 14 years, Fix You will bring the live energy and excitement of Coldplay to Naper Nights.
Opening for Boogie Wonder Band will be Simply the Best performing a Tina Turner tribute from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Friday.
Jagged Little Pill will be performing Alanis Morissette tunes on Saturday from 6-7:30 p.m. Both Naper Nights concerts will open the night with local students from the School of Rock playing their favorites on stage from 5 to 5:40 p.m.
Naper Settlement will celebrate the community by offering local eats from a variety of vendors including Billy Bricks, Guzman Y Gomez, John’s Rib House, Calogero's Old World Italian Pizza, Grumpy Gaucho, Ben & Jerry’s, Molly’s Cupcakes, and Hello Boba.
There will be beer selections from Alter Brewing Company, wine selections from Rodney Strong Vineyards, and organic tequila seltzers from Freshie.
A children’s area with activities provided by Pinot’s Palette and Naper Settlement also will be on site. Each night, all tips collected at the beverage tents benefit a local organization.
Tips on Friday benefit the Naperville Junior Woman's Club, and Saturday’s tips will go to the Naperville Newcomers and Neighbors Club.
Naper Nights tickets are $20 or $15 youth, ages 4 to 12. Members and children under age 4 receive complimentary admission. For more information and tickets, visit NaperNights.org.
