Are you a Lucky Duck?
A “Lucky Duck Race” to benefit financially disadvantaged residents will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, June 9 at Barefoot Bay, 1461 N. Midlothian Road, Mundelein.
The Mundelein Parks Foundation has 250 adoptable ducks available for $5 each, online only at givebutter.com/RGBKC1 through June 6.
Any remaining ducks will be available for adoption on event day starting at 10:30 a.m. for $10. Prizes will be awarded to the top and last finishers and one randomly selected duck.
Winners don’t need to be present. Pluck-a-Duck for toddlers aged 2 to 4 will be held at 2 p.m. Visit givebutter.com/RGBKC1 or mundeleinparks.org.
Proceeds benefit a scholarship program for summer camp, swimming, dance and other district activities.
