Alessio Companies participates in annual Touch-A-Truck fundraiser for Kohl's Children's Museum

Over the weekend, Alessio participated in the 2024 Touch-A-Truck family festival of the Women’s Board of Kohl Children’s Museum.

The company hosted the event for the 17th time, providing an opportunity for members of the community to get up close and personal with local innovators.

The fundraiser is held each year and allows children an opportunity to learn about trucks, cars and vehicles by seeing, climbing and playing on various vehicles.

Alessio brought an excavator that attendees were able to enjoy, climb on and take photos of while learning how the equipment functioned.

“Thanks to the support of such generous companies like Alessio, we had such a successful event,” said Julia Lissner, 2024 Touch-A -Truck co-chair and women’s board member.

Alessio’s participation in the event further establishes the company’s commitment to investing in the local community, providing opportunities for the area to grow together around the exciting innovations that Alessio is currently providing.

According to Lissner, the popularity of the excavator that was brought by Alessio was a highlight that the event hopes can continue into next year’s edition of the family festival.

“Alessio’s excavator/digger was one of the most popular trucks this year,” Lissner said. “Some early feedback we received about the event is that some people hope Alessio can bring two next year.”

The event hosted more than 2,400 attendees, according to event officials. Touch-a-Truck was held at the Northeastern Illinois Public Safety Training Academy, where the event has been hosted for the last seven years. Through ticket sales and sponsorship, the event raised more than $200,000 for the Kohl’s Children’s Museum.

Alessio plans to be involved in more events similar to the Touch-A-Truck festival. More information on those opportunities will be announced at a later date.
