The Downtown Wheaton Association’s kid-friendly Touch-a-Truck event was a hit Saturday.

Liberty Street in Wheaton was bustling with foot traffic as children marveled at giant tractors, garbage trucks and municipal vehicles and emergency vehicles of all types.

With long lines and people shoulder to shoulder, police sirens and honking horns filled the air as youngsters climbed on, got in, and pretended to drive the giant vehicles.
