Big wheels: Wheaton gears up for Touch-A-Truck event

A fleet of municipal vehicles will go on display for the Downtown Wheaton Association’s kid-friendly Touch-A-Truck event Saturday, April 27.

Youngsters will get a chance to climb, honk and explore trucks, construction vehicles and emergency vehicles from behind the wheel.

​The Downtown Wheaton Association is hosting the free event on Liberty Drive from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. During the exhibit, Liberty will be closed between Wheaton Avenue and Hale Street.

Drivers may experience temporary traffic delays, the city advises, and opt to adjust their route to avoid the area.
