Warrenville celebrates Arbor Day April 27 with free tree giveaway

Celebrate Arbor Day with the City of Warrenville from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 27, at Warrenville Park District, 3S260 Warren Ave.

In addition to the ceremonial tree planting, pick up a free tree, check out the environmental fair, and bid in the silent auction of 25 wren houses designed and signed by Mayor David Brummel. Proceeds benefit Warrenville in Bloom.

It is sponsored by the city’s Environmental Advisory Commission.

While supplies last, there will be free tree giveaways: burr oak, Eastern redbud, baldcypress, Allegheny serviceberry, American plum, and Nannyberry viburnum.

There also will be door prizes and light refreshments.
