Learn about the popular ’60s floral shift dress in May 11 program on Lily Pulitzer

On Saturday, May 11, the Glen Ellyn Historical Society welcomes actress and historian Leslie Goddard portraying Lilly Pulitzer, the 1960s fashion icon.

Pulitzer was a fashion entrepreneur, designer, and socialite who launched a design revolution in the 1960s throughout America. She developed a line of lightweight tropical dresses that became synonymous with resort living.

Goddard as Lilly Pulitzer shares the life of this free-spirited young socialite and what motivated her into becoming this famous name in fashion at 2 p.m. at the Glen Ellyn History Center, 800 N. Main St.
