Fido Festival Adoption and Fundraiser Event at GCHS April 20

The public is invited to the Fido Festival Adoption and Fundraising Event at Grant Community High School, 285 E. Grand Ave., Fox Lake. The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 20. It is indoors, free and suited for all ages. (Human guests only; leave your pets at home.)

The GCHS Canine Connections Club will be raising money for the following rescues: American Brittany Rescue, Love Hope Believe Galgo Adoption, Rocky’s Rescue and Young at Heart Senior Pet Adoptions. They will be selling dog treats, dog toys, dog paw magnets, painted rocks and a large assortment of raffle baskets. Additional fundraisers include face painting and Beanie Baby dog adoptions. All fundraiser sales are cash only and the proceeds will be divided between the four rescues.

The excitement continues with dog-themed vendors and organizations, three different demos, fun and games for kids and food from Mario’s Cart food truck and Nothing Bundt Cakes. The first 100 guests will receive a free folder of useful dog information.
