Wauconda FBLA has record breaking showing at State Conference

Wauconda High School's Future Business Leaders of America recently attended the 75th Annual FBLA State Conference in Springfield. Over 70 schools and 1,600 students participated in over 75 different events. This state conference was a record breaking year for Wauconda FBLA students.

Wauconda FBLA students chosen as State Officers for next year include: Northern Area President Claire Harte, State Treasurer Ruth Okendina and State Parliamentarian Abbas Hussain.

As a chapter, Wauconda FBLA won

• Gold Seal Award

• Third Place Robert Stickler Outstanding Chapter Award

• Place March of Dimes Fundraiser Award

• Gold Level Champion Chapter Award

• Go Green Recycling Award

• Illinois FBLA 2024 Business Person of the Year - Dr. Ali Hussain

• Script Award Winner: Sajjad Hussain

• Third Place Who's Who Award: Sajjad Hussain

In all, Wauconda FBLA had 50 Teams finish in the top 10 (88 students), 35 teams finish in the top 4 as National Qualifiers (66 students), and 13 State Champions (33 students).
