Senior Dance Parties return for the 2024 season

Senior Dance Parties held by DuPage Senior Citizens Council and Kane Senior Council are returning for the 2024 season.

March 21 marked the first dance party of the new year. Each year, hundreds of seniors gather at these parties to enjoy a meal, get active through dance, and connect socially with other seniors in the area. This first dance of the season hit the maximum capacity of reservations as seniors were eager and excited to return to the dance floor.

The dance party season goes from March to September typically on the third Thursday of the month. Dance Parties are held in both DuPage and Kane counties, with locations alternating each month: in DuPage County, at Abbington Distinctive Banquets at 3S002 Route 53 in Glen Ellyn, and in Kane County, at Lincoln Inn Banquets at 1345 S. Batavia Ave. in Batavia.

The next dance party will be held on Thursday, April 18, in Kane County. Doors open at 3:30 p.m., and food is served from 5-6 p.m.

The dates for this year’s parties are:

• DuPage County: May 16, July 18, and Sept. 19 at Abbington Banquets in Glen Ellyn;

• Kane County: April 18, June 20, Aug. 22 at Lincoln Inn Banquets in Batavia.

Any seniors interested in attending a dance party must register by calling (630) 812-6750 or register online at www.dupageseniorcouncil.org/senior-dance-party/ or www.kaneseniorcouncil.org/senior-dance-parties/.

Be sure to register early as space fills up quickly due to high demand.

The last day to register for the upcoming dance in Kane County is Friday, April 12. Registration is required to attend.

Any attendee under the age of 60 will be required to pay a $7 admission fee. Attendees, age 60 or older, will be asked to make a suggested donation of $5.
