Schaumburg Community Blood Drive set for April 9

Schaumburg will host its next Community Blood Drive from 2:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 9, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1320 W. Schaumburg Road.

Interested blood donor participants should call (877) 258-4825 or register online at www.vitalant.org and use sponsor code ORD0SH98. Appointments are highly recommended to reduce wait times; however, walk-ins are welcome.

Participating donors will receive a Culver’s Give a Pint, Get a Pint coupon. All donors also will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win one of four $25 Home Depot gift cards.

Schaumburg partners with Vitalant to offer five blood drives a year for the community to help with blood donation. For more information about the village’s community blood drives, visit www.schaumburg.com/blooddrives, dial 311 in the village, or call the Nursing Division at (847) 923-3766.

In order to accommodate the great need for more blood donors, all future village-sponsored blood drives will hold extended donation hours and take place at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints’ facility.
