Dining out: Dan Aykroyd coming to Wonderverse, National Beer Day and more

Who you gonna call?

Sony Pictures’ Wonderverse in Oak Brook, home to many things Ghostbusters including the Ghost Trap Speakeasy, will host a special guest who will fit right in on Monday, April 8. Original Ghostbuster Dan Aykroyd will visit from 5 to 8 p.m., and guests who are 21 and older can try a new Ghostbusters-themed cocktail made with Aykroyd’s Crystal Head Vodka. Will it be green and/or slimy? You’ll have to go to find out.

Aykroyd, who can currently be seen in theaters in “Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, conceived and founded the vodka brand with artist John Alexander in 2008. The vodkas are quadruple distilled, filtered seven times and packaged in a crystal skull bottle.

Wonderverse is located at 100 Oakbrook Center, Oak Brook.

National Beer Day

Did you know that Sunday, April 7, is National Beer Day? I didn’t, until Yard House told me they were pouring $10 half yards of beer all day on Sunday. How much beer is in a half yard, you ask? Yard House says 32 ounces, which is a lot of beer for 10 bucks.

You can find suburban Yard House locations in Lombard at 2301 Fountain Square Drive and Glenview at 1880 Tower Drive.
