Donate Blood at Schaumburg’s Community Blood Drive April 9; Blood drives to be held at new Schaumburg location

The village of Schaumburg encourages the public to participate in the next Community Blood Drive that will take place from 2:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 9, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1320 W. Schaumburg Road. Please take notice that, in order to accommodate the great need for more blood donors, all future village-sponsored blood drives will hold extended donation hours and take place at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints’ larger facility.

Interested blood donor participants should call (877) 25VITAL (877-258-4825) or register online at vitalant.org and use sponsor code ORD0SH98.

Appointments are highly recommended to reduce wait times; however, walk-ins are welcome.

Participating donors will receive a Culver’s Give a Pint, Get a Pint coupon. All donors will also be entered into a drawing for a chance to win one of four $25 Home Depot gift cards.

Schaumburg partners with Vitalant to offer five blood drives a year for the community to help with blood donation.
