Driver faces DUI charge after crash injures one in Bartlett
A Warrenville woman was charged with misdemeanor driving under the influence after a crash in Bartlett last week set one person to a hospital with minor injuries, police said.
Ashley Cerda, 36, was arrested Friday, after an investigation into the crash that occurred about 9:40 a.m. March 26 at the intersection of Route 59 and Schick Road, according to police.
Police said Cerda was driving a 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe northbound on Route 59 when the SUV rear-ended a 2021 Dodge Ram stopped at the traffic signal. The impact caused the Dodge to hit a 2019 Sprinter Freightliner truck also stopped at the light.
The crash caused one person to be transported to the hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries, police said.
Cerda was released with a court date to be determined by the DuPage County Circuit Clerkâs Office.
