Marengo woman charged in Crystal Lake crash that injured 3

Three people were hurt in a two-vehicle crash Monday night in Crystal Lake that police say was a result of drunken driving.

Kathie Zaremba, 60, of Marengo, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol in the aftermath of the crash near the intersection of Huntley Road and Boneset Drive that happened at about 9:30 p.m.

Police said Zaremba was driving a Jeep south on Huntley Road when she crossed into the northbound lanes and collided with a sedan carrying two occupants.

Zaremba, the driver of the sedan and the passenger of the sedan were all transported to a nearby hospital.

Police did not release any information about the condition of the three injured in the crash. A helicopter was requested at one point.
