Dinosaurs, superheroes and Jedi knights: Here are the Schaumburg Boomers’ 2024 promotions
Dinosaurs, Marvel superheroes, classic cartoons, Jedi knights and giveaways are among the wide variety of promotions the Schaumburg Boomers baseball team will offer at Wintrust Field this season.
Fans also can get their fireworks fix with 21 postgame shows, from the home opener on May 13 through Fan Appreciation Night on Aug. 29.
“We are excited that we are nearing the beginning of another action-packed season of Boomers baseball,” Vice President of Fan Experience Lexi Fiolka said in a statement. “Our promotions team and front-office staff put together a full slate of great promotions for 2024 with ballpark classics like $1 hot dogs, Star Wars Night, and Looney Tunes Night and some fun new additions for Wintrust Field and the Boomer fans.”
The giveaways include magnet schedules on opening night, Hawaiian shirts on May 25, Boomers bucket hats June 6, baseball caps on Father’s Day, Bugs Bunny bobbleheads June 22, T-shirts June 29, patriotic caps on July 4, team jerseys July 13, a choice of Harry Potter/Hogwarts house scarves July 19, and snow globes on Aug. 17.
Among the numerous themed nights are Educator Appreciation Night, Pro Wrestling Night, ‘90s Night, Marshmallow Fight Night, Breast Cancer Awareness Night, First Responder Night, and Hispanic Heritage Night.
