Spring into fun at Spring Break Open Gym

With warm weather around the corner, Hanover Township is looking ahead to Spring Break Open Gym. Beginning March 25 to March 29, from noon to 4 p.m., youth ages 5 -14 are invited to participate in a wide variety of free recreational, educational and social activities at the township’s Izaak Walton Youth Center, 899 Jay St., Elgin, and School District U-46 gyms.

Spring Break Open Gym will be held at the Youth Center each day, in addition to: Monday, March 25 at Ontarioville Elementary School, 2100 Elm Ave., Hanover Park; Tuesday, March 26 at Sunnydale Elementary School, 716 Sunnydale Blvd., Streamwood; Wednesday, March 27 at Hanover Countryside Elementary School, 6 S. Bartlett Road, Streamwood; Thursday, March 28 at Oakhill Elementary School, 502 Oltendorf Road, Streamwood; and Friday, March 29 at Parkwood Elementary School, 2150 Laurel Ave., Hanover Park.

Sports, gym fun, arts and crafts will be conducted at all Open Gym sites.

Open Gym continues to be, as it was since its inception, a free program designed to give youth a safe, fun, and positive place to go.
