Mount Prospect swears in new deputy police chief

Mount Prospect police Cmdr. Bart Tweedie has been promoted as the new deputy chief of administration. He was sworn in at last Tuesday’s village board meeting.

In addition, Sgt. Christopher Rondeau was promoted to commander and Officer Ognjen Saric was promoted to sergeant.

Also, Deputy Chief Anthony Addante has been named deputy chief of operations, succeeding retired Deputy Chief Joseph Garris.

Tweedie is a 21-year veteran of the Mount Prospect department. He has been a detective, range officer, accident investigator, defensive tactics instructor, administrative sergeant and administrative commander.
