Bricks & Minifigs to open new Schaumburg location

Bricks & Minifigs, a Lego aftermarket reseller for minifigures, sets, bricks and accessories, will have a grand opening for its newest location, BAM Schaumburg at 1085 S. Roselle Road on April 6.

The Schaumburg store will be helmed by owner Bradley Banaszek, a disabled veteran who has loved Lego all his life.

Banaszek’s team includes his sister, who will spearhead parties and events, while his friend of more than 20 years will be the general manager.

“My hope is that the store is seen as a community center destination as well as a fun place to obtain additional Lego,” Banaszek said. “We look forward to meeting other Lego enthusiasts, whether it be for them to find a new piece or set they will love or to chat about Lego for a while, everyone will be welcome to share in the joy of Lego.”

The new store will feature an extensive selection of Lego sets, with emphasis on Star Wars, as it is a favorite of Banaszek. Customers can expect personalized birthday parties and corporate events. The space also will hold special Lego-themed and “Make-and-Take” events, and Brick Derby races. There are also offerings for corporate workshops, mini-retreats, and off-site team-building meetings.

For the grand opening, BAM Schaumburg will be hosting a special event from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. April 6 featuring giveaways, kid-friendly activities, entertainment and some surprises.

“We are very excited to open our doors to the public and have them share in our delight of bringing this fun spot to the community,” Banaszek said. “There will be exciting surprises throughout the day, making it an event you won’t want to miss.”
