DuPage County residents offered a new scholarship opportunity

The DuPage Housing Authority’s new CEO Cheron Corbett has partnered with DuPage County Community Services Division to offer a Community Services Block Grant Scholarship for students who are residents of DuPage County.

This scholarship provides financial assistance to low-income and disadvantaged individuals with high academic attainment or potential with a grade-point average of 2.5 or greater on a 4.0 scale.

The student must be enrolled in an Illinois accredited higher educational or occupational training institute.

In addition to official transcripts and two letters of recommendation, the applicant must include an original, 500-word essay, typed and double-spaced.

For an application, visit dupagecounty.gov/scholarship.

All applications and materials must be received by Friday, May 3.

Recipients are chosen by the CSBG Scholarship Committee. Award recipients will be notified by mail in late July.
