Glen Ellyn Historical Society presents ‘Heroes On the Air’ April 19

The Glen Ellyn Historical Society welcomes Steve Darnall, actor, writer, and editor of Nostalgia Digest Podcasts, in an audio-visual presentation spotlighting the comic book and radio heroes of the 1930s.

“Heroes On the Air“ will be at 7 p.m. Friday, April 19, at the Glen Ellyn History Center, 800 N. Main St.

He brings back Orphan Annie, Dick Tracy and Superman as well as other legendary comic book heroes with radio programs during his presentation. Darnall even delves into romance comics and programs of the 1930s.

Admission is $10 or $8 for Glen Ellyn Historical Society members and students. For information, visit www.gehs.org and call (630) 469-1867.
