Schaumburg accepting nominations through April 1 for Volunteer of the Year

The village of Schaumburg is currently accepting nominations for Volunteer of the Year to be recognized at its upcoming luncheon — a public event that will feature CO-CEO of Paylocity, Steve Beauchamp.

Nominations for Schaumburg’s Volunteer of the Year, Volunteer Organization of the Year and Youth Volunteer of the Year will be accepted through Monday, April 1. Nominees can represent social, civic, religious, community, school and nonprofit organizations within the village of Schaumburg and Schaumburg Township community. Nomination materials are available on the village of Schaumburg website at www.schaumburg.com/VOY.

Award recipients will be selected by a panel of judges from nominations received from residents and the business community. Recipients will be honored at the 36th annual Volunteer of the Year luncheon that will take place Tuesday, April 23, at Chandler’s Chophouse Grille & Banquets, 401 N. Roselle Road, in Schaumburg. The luncheon is open to the public; attendees do not need to be nominated or have someone nominated to attend the event. Those interested in attending may register and pay online at www.schaumburg.com/VOY by Sunday, April 14.

Steve Beauchamp, CO-CEO of Paylocity, one of Schaumburg’s largest employers, will deliver the keynote address at this year’s luncheon. Paylocity is an award-winning provider of cloud-based HR and Payroll software solutions to more than 36,000 clients. Under Beauchamp’s leadership, Paylocity has grown to more than 6,000 employees nationwide and crossed the $1 billion threshold in revenue in 2023. Beauchamp is also a strong champion of building an exceptional workplace culture, including the company’s wide-ranging corporate social responsibility initiatives.

“Paylocity is an industry leader in employee volunteer programs,” said Tiana Weiler, Department of Cultural Services director for the village of Schaumburg. “We look forward to our community members and local businesses coming out to hear Steve’s message, along with taking the opportunity to nominate an individual, employee or organization near and dear to their hearts.”

Paylocity encourages and supports its employee’s volunteer efforts by providing paid time off. More than 40% of Paylocity employees volunteered in 2023, impacting 320 organizations.
