Wheaton Park District commissioners to fill vacant board seat
The Wheaton Park District is accepting applications from residents interested in filling an open seat on the board of commissioners.
The seat was left vacant by the death of Ray Morrill, who served as a commissioner since 2007. Morrill died in August.
The remaining commissioners will vote to appoint a new member at a public board meeting. The selected candidate will serve until the April 2025 election.
Applicants must be registered voters who have lived within the park district’s boundaries for no less than a year.
To apply, submit a statement of interest, a resume and a summary of relevant qualifications by Feb. 29 to Donna Siciliano, executive assistant, at dsiciliano@wheatonparks.org.
Park board members hope to make an appointment no later than their scheduled meeting in May.
