Recently shared photos on the Daily Herald’s Suburban Wildlife Facebook page have included coyotes, eagles, birds and deer.

Reader Tricia Alfirevic sent a stunning photo of a coyote that appeared to be posing for the camera.

On Jan. 11, it began snowing here at our home near Harvard, Illinois. There are many northern cardinals here, as well as finches. I went out on the balcony and photographed these cardinals and house finches. One female finch sat on the platform feeder as the other birds flew around. It was really pretty to watch them.
