Skyview: Deer wander through town in a snowstorm
I launched my DJI drone in a hurry when I saw two deer silently meander through the trees near my home.
They were not eating. They were not in a hurry. They seemed to be almost sleepwalking. I could see that they were bucks and both had 8-point racks. They were not large deer.
I was nervous that my drone would startle them but as I stealthily maneuvered closer from overhead, they didn’t even notice. I slowly flew the drone within 60 feet of the deer before I got nervous and backed out. They never reacted and continued to step slowly and quietly through the falling snow before disappearing in the brush.
