How to apply for spring session of Schaumburg’s Citizen Police Academy

The Schaumburg Department is accepting applications for the spring session of its Citizen Police Academy.

The 10-week course will run from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesdays from Feb 28 through May 1. At least 75% of the classes must be attended to graduate.

Village residents and members of the Schaumburg business community will be given the opportunity to meet and interact on a personal level with members of the department.

Participants will be exposed to many facets of law enforcement. The experience is not limited to classroom lectures. They will be given the opportunity to participate in firearms training, practice mock traffic stops and conduct room searches.
