Streamwood Fire Dept. offering ‘Stop the Bleed’ course

The Streamwood Fire Department is offering a “Stop the Bleed” course next month to teach people how to handle certain physical traumas and how to use basic medical equipment to save lives.

The three-hour course will be offered from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Feb. 10, at Fire Station 31, 1204 S. Park Ave.

The hands-on course is taught by firefighter/paramedics who are certified Stop The Bleed instructors.
