Learn about the history of St. James Farm

Kevin Davis, the grandson of longtime St. James Farm Manager Frank Schlick, will give a talk about the expansive property and its equestrian past for the Glen Ellyn Historical Society.

The Forest Preserve District of DuPage County bought St. James Farm from philanthropist Brooks McCormick in 2000 for $43 million.

Since 2003, Davis has been a volunteer lead researcher and interpreter for the St. James Farm Forest Preserve near Warrenville.

Davis will share a personal overview and photographic history of the farm and McCormick family.

The program begins 7 p.m. Friday at the Glen Ellyn History Center, 800 N. Main St. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for historical society members and students.
