New associate joins Lavelle Law

Schaumburg-based Lavelle Law has announced the hiring of Mitchell J. Parker as an associate. Parker will handle clients in the litigation, business and securities practice groups at the firm.

Parker received a B.B.A. in finance from the University of Iowa accompanied by a minor in economics. He later graduated from the Chicago-Kent College of Law, cum laude, with a certificate in environmental and energy law. At Chicago-Kent, Parker received 5 CALI Awards.

“We are pleased to welcome a new associate with the type of background Mitchell brings,” said Managing Partner Ted McGinn. “His knowledge will allow us to further expand the services we offer in our litigation and business areas.”

For his part, Parker anticipates that he will assist clients in navigating some of the more nuanced areas of the law he is versed in.

“The modern legal landscape is quite complex in some of these areas. It is my goal to shed some light on certain issues by providing effective legal advocacy and producing positive outcomes for my clients.”

Lavelle Law maintains offices in Schaumburg and downtown Chicago. The firm was founded in 1989, as a single attorney practice with an emphasis on tax law. The firm has added more than a dozen practice groups including Estate Planning, Business Law, Litigation, Divorce and Family Law, Commercial and Residential Real Estate, and Law Practice Consulting. The firm has received numerous awards and commendations for its business success, its commitment to ethics, national recognition for its pro bono services, and multiple acknowledgments of the charitable work it does in its local communities.
