Person killed in shooting at bar near Wheaton

A person was shot and killed Friday morning at Rosie O’Reilly’s Irish Pub and Grub in an unincorporated area near Wheaton.
The DuPage County sheriff’s office responded at 8:41 a.m. to the business at 0N131 Gary Ave. The scene was immediately secured, a sheriff’s spokesman said.
A suspect is in custody.
Coroner Dr. Richard Jorgensen confirmed late Friday afternoon a person was killed. An autopsy will be performed on Saturday, he said.
Wheaton North High School was briefly placed on lockdown.
According to its Facebook page, Rosie’s opens daily at 6 a.m., except on Sundays, when it opens at 9 a.m.
