Technology & Manufacturing Association creates a first-of-its-kind private school partnership with St. Patrick’s High School in Chicago

The Technology & Manufacturing Association (TMA) announced a first-of-its-kind partnership with St. Patrick’s High School in Chicago, becoming the first private or parochial school to be part of TMA’s Education Foundation to provide early training and access to the manufacturing industry for high school and secondary-education students.

TMA has partnered with high schools and colleges throughout the Chicago region and the new partnership with St. Patrick’s High School expands the potential for the next generation of manufacturers to get involved.

“TMA is excited to lead the way in connecting manufacturers with students in private schools who show an interest in making this industry their career,” said TMA President Patrick Osborne. “In the coming years, we are going to see a substantial increase in manufacturing jobs when we don’t have the talent to fill those roles, creating an insurmountable economic and production stress for manufacturers. Forging a way for more young adults and private school students to be our next generation of manufacturers is paramount. We’re excited about this historic partnership with St. Patrick’s High School.”

Since 1995, TMA’s Education Foundation has provided over $2.5 million in grants for high schools, colleges, and manufacturing groups. The new partnership with St. Patrick’s High School will allow them to expand their Manufacturing & Engineering Pathway program and offerings for students.

“The Technology & Manufacturing Association is vested in supporting educational efforts of programs like the Manufacturing & Engineering Pathway at Saint Patrick High School,” said Principal John Harrington. “We are proud to be the first Catholic School to collaborate with TMA, bridging education and industry, and are excited about future possibilities and achievements for our students!”
